Giveaway: Shabby Apple

If you heaved a major Monday sigh when you opened your closet to get dressed this morning, I have just the thing for you: a giveaway of Shabby Apple finery sure to wake up your wardrobe!

This is my very first giveaway, and Shabby Apple is the perfect fit for my vintage-inspired taste. I picked the Tess Skirt, a go-with-everything, hourglass-figure-making pencil skirt in practical olive canvas twill.  I can't enter my own giveaway (drat!), but I sure can dare to dream about how I'd style the Tess SkirtA few links of chain and some bossy stripes to toughen up the feminine silhouette, an artsy cropped cardigan to show off the fabulous bow, snakeskin and a silver skull to shock the bourgeois...

The Tess Skirt from Shabby Apple, featured with the Elizabeth & James Tari Sandal from Piperlime, a jeweled bracelet by Rappaccini's Garden, the Tea & Roses Cropped Cardigan from Anthropologie, the Vince Stripe Favorite Tank from Piperlime, and the Claire Cross-Body Bag from Banana Republic

Envisioning your own outfit? Make it happen. Here's how you can enter to win...

  • Click "like" on the Shabby Apple Facebook page (what's not to like about a free frock and exclusive access to year-round discounts?)
  • Leave a comment on this post telling me how you would wear the Tess Skirt. Be sure to leave your email address!
  • If you tweet or blog about this giveaway, leave me the link- it'll count as an extra entry!
I'll announce the winner on Monday, April 18th- so get your entries in by Sunday at midnight PST.

Only one lucky gal can snag the prize, but everyone's a winner: Shock the Bourgeois readers will receive 10% off of their purchases at Shabby Apple with coupon code "shockthebourgeois10off"

Good luck!

The fine print: This prize cannot be shipped outside of the US, and is not eligible for return or exchange.

I quite adore that skirt (and I'm totally not browsing the rest of SA's wares droolingly ... nope... nuh-huh)! I'd wear it with a puff-sleeved, button-down white shirt, the Shock the Bourgeois drapey rose necklace and my Sofft kitten heels. Throw a fluttery cardigan over it for outside and I'm ready for my close-up, Mr. Hitchcock!

I love your stylings...I feel like such a Plain Jane looking at your ideas. So, I would wear the Tess Skirt with Mary Jane style black heels and a fitted black sweater - tucked in to show off the bow.

What a cute skirt! I would wear it with a solid shirt.

Ohhh!! So cute! Love this skirt and would love to dress it up..

I'm not too sure what I'd wear with it right now.. for work bright top with a white blazer.. for going out.. looks like I'd need to pick up something cute for summer!

I can only see Joan Holloway in this skirt right now, so let me see if I can add my own twist. I would start with a Breton style striped shirt, with a more jewel tone blue than the traditional matte, black pearl earrings, and my black mid-calf lace-up witchy boots. Add a messy up-do, cat eye sunglasses and my vintage leather jacket, and I'm ready to go down to the coffee shop and have my cafe au lait!

I would make the skirt versatile for work and for going out.

I would wear a light brown pin striped shirt with black Mary Janes for work. For outside of work, I would either wear my black ruffled detail French Connection blouse (classy night out) with white laser cut Mary Janes or if it was casual, my navy blue striped "French" top and my beige ballet pumps.

I think I'd pair it with a little white cotton tee, my nude heels, and a beret to make me feel jaunty :)

I like them on Facebook. I would wear the skirt with a lacy top and kitten heels for dinner...or maybe just with a tee and sassy earrings.

Thanks for the chance, Elizabeth!

I love how you styled the outfit! I'm not that creative, but I think it would be fun to put it with a deep purple tank top and maybe nude pumps. :)

Oh this skirt is adorable! The cargo green gives it a rustic feel while the bow is very feminine. I would match this skirt with a soft pink flowy top to give it some contrast.

ooh, i love it! i would pair Tess with an off-white or warm grey tee/blouse with a cowl or slightly low and tantalizing cut - i imagine with some delicate but subtle lace or crochet detailing, to compliment but not distract from the extravagant bow.

thanks for the oh-so-lovely giveaway!

As to how I'd wear that skirt.. probably with something boat-necked and simple. It's easy to go overboard when your outfit has a huge bow on it.

Hi,
Beautiful skirt! I will probably wear it with my baby pink lace tee tucked in to show off the cute bow and put on my favorite red kitten heels to make my outfit a tad more sassy!
