My Berkeley apartment is edging closer to becoming an "after!" Soft grey walls, handsome nailhead curtains, wood tie-backs... and a "no-reason-at-all" bouquet of peonies from my thoughtful boyfriend.
Aren't those flowers incredible? It'll be lovely to have those enormous pom-poms cheering me on as I tackle another painting project this weekend! Happy Friday!

Those flowers are GORGEOUS. Good lord. I tried to pick up some fresh flowers at the Spokane Farmers Market last weekend and (I kid you not) there were NO FRESH FLOWERS. Guess I need to come visit you to get some!
Becca...
Here's the funny thing: Our farmer's market doesn't do flowers either (making me miss the glorious flower stands at my Wallingford market). There's a sweet little flower stand down the street, but they were charging $8.50 per stem for ruffly peonies (ouch!). When I spotted the same peonies at the grocery store for under $15.00 per bundle I knew I had to snap them up!
I haven't visited your blog for some days now - What a treat to read multiple posts. Sooo jealous of your new furball. I would love to have a cat or two (so would my dog), but our landlord doesn't allow them.
I can also relate to your re-bottling. My dream house would have very little plastic in it - including everyday containers.
Lovely, gorgeous flowers! I might just try to make some fake ones....

You're allowed dogs but not cats?? Wow!
I should share some pictures of my pantry sometime- I keep everything in glass jars. It's an addiction.
Please make some faux peonies! I'd love to have peonies year-round!
Love the jug your flowers are in and the little round table, stunning!

Thank you! The pitcher is one of my favorites from my collection of aluminum serving pieces (I'm an eBay junkie for the stuff!) and the table (believe it or not) is from Target!
Amazing images. Those flowers are beautiful and your place looks straight out of a magazine. I'd say it's coming along quite nicely. And yes, that's an understatement!
