My First Stop in Berkeley Will Be...

When I read Curious Expeditions I always find myself whining, "awwww, no fairrrrrr" and crossing my arms like a sullen child. I might even throw in a foot stomp or two. For good reason! These extremely lucky bloggers/artists/lovers-of-all-things-macabre embark on voyages to the darkest corners of the earth... and bring the most delightfully creepy things to light. They're galavanting around the globe, and I'm forced to read about it on my lunch hour. Completely not fair. *Pouts*

As you can imagine, their post about The Bone Room had me teetering on the brink of a jealous tantrum.

How many hours would it take to look at everything?

Creepy crawlies!

The bat! I want!

I promise, I won't touch anything!

I was about to close my browser window and have a time-out when I realized...

The Bone Room is in Berkeley.

So now it's time for me to gloat- 'cuz when I move I can go there anytime I want. HA! So there!

Adore. I know it sounds morbid, but I'd want to live in this store. There would never be a lack of things to look at and admire. A true Cabinet of Curiosities!

Haha, I wish I could tell you I was in some exotic location right now, but alas, I am writing this on MY lunch hour, from the east coasts answer to Berkely aka Brooklyn!

(Besides, we should be jealous of you, you live right by the bone room! Lucky!)

Anyway, thanks so much for the kind words, they mean a lot to us. We havn't been able to travel much recently but we are planning a big trip, hopefully soon, when we are not you know...broke, haha.

One last thing, you needn't go to a far off place to find amazing locals. I run another site called atlas obscura that might help inspire some local expeditions, no plane tickets needed! Go to
atlasobscura.com/globe/north-america/us/california and zoom the map in on San Francisco, and start clicking on the little red tabs, there is a ton of great stuff in the Bay area!

Thanks again for the kind words, and good exploring!
