Girl Around Town: Art & Muse

This afternoon I went adventuring to Queen Anne to see a family friend's art displayed at Muse Coffee.

For a better look at Anita's work, check out her Etsy store
I'm dying to have a copy of her Architect's Alphabet...

I fell in love with Muse and its chic loft aesthetic. If only I had splurged on the converted factory loft apartment in Berkeley... then I too could have a wooden moose head, a pair of scribbly-note chandeliers, ornate hanging divider panels, and perhaps even a chair swinging from the rafters. Oh, for high ceilings and exposed brick!

Anyway, if you live on Queen Anne and your apartment sucks, I highly recommend that you indulge in the supremely rich espresso and equally flavorful decor at Muse!

Okay. You pretty much gave me the best complement anyone could ever give. How did you know that I am an aspiring romance novelist? Since I was 16 it's been one of my goals to write them! I devour them like candy, read at least one per week. I have plots in my head that need only time and courage to be put down on paper...

I even have my pen name! It's 'Elizabeth Albany', which is of course, my middle name + the street I grew up on (the official romance novelist pen name formula :)

I will definitely be checking this out. Safe travels, my dear!

My post about your jacket is up now (finally!). Excited to see what you think.

I found your blog through Needle + Thread and it is such fun. I adore a Seattle coffee shop (having worked for Starbucks for many years in Seattle & San Diego), Muse looks like my kind of fun, funky, stylish place. I bet it smells wonderful too? Happy weekend to you.

Cheers ~ deb

HI! I'm the owner of Muse and I want to thank you for coming in and for the particularly nice things you have put in your blog about us.

We work hard to not only bring our customers the best espresso and coffee, but also have the best service and atmosphere anywhere.

Come back and see us real soon and again, thanks for the kind words!

Ah - the moose is pure rad-ness. What is it about taxidermy, even the faux stuff, that makes a room really whimsical and fun? Well, maybe not fun for the animal, if it's a real one, but I do admit to loving on the taxidermy creatures.
